The fourth finalist has been announced for the next University of Iowa president.

The Iowa Now website reports that Daniel L. Clay, dean of the University of Iowa College of Education, will meet with the campus community Thursday and Friday. That includes a public forum which will occur Thursday afternoon at 3:30.

Dean’s education includes a degree in Psychology from the College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth, a Masters in Educational and Counseling Psychology, a PhD in Counseling Psychology and an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Missouri. He also has a certificate in Higher Education Administration from Harvard.

Before coming to the University of Iowa in 2016, he served as Dean of the College of Education at the University of Missouri.

He’s the last of four finalists vying to become the U of I’s 22nd president. He joins Hari Osofsky of Penn State, Barbara Wilson of the University of Illinois System, and Wendy Hensel of Georgia State University, who have already visited campus.

Dean’s detailed resume and a chance to send questions for Thursday’s forum is available on the University’s search website, presidentialsearch.uiowa.edu. Members of the community can also leave feedback on the finalists at the site through 5 pm Monday.

The State Board of Regents is set to meet on April 29th and 30th. They plan to hear from the search committee, interview the finalists, and select the next UI president on the 30th.
