A grass fire damaged multiple buildings near Kalona on Friday.
According to the Facebook page of the Riverside Fire Department, crews from Kalona and Riverside battled the blaze. The fire started as a large grass fire, then spread to nearby farm buildings.
Once that fire was under control, Riverside firefighters were then dispatched to a separate brush fire in the Riverside district with mutual aid from the Ainsworth Fire Department.
There were no reported injuries in either situation.
