An interchange improvement project will close the entrance ramp to westbound I-80 from Herbert Hoover Highway starting April 12th.

The project includes a new configuration of ramps with roundabouts and a new bridge over Interstate 80 at exit 249. Work will require the closing of the entrance ramp to westbound I-80 from 6 a.m. Monday, April 12, to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, weather permitting. That’s according to the Iowa Department of Transportation. During the closure, traffic will access westbound I-80 at the South Downey Street/West Branch interchange (see map).
