An Iowa City mother and son are accused of teaming up to physically attack their neighbor.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says just before 6pm Friday 35-year-old Brittany Kendall of Beach View Drive confronted one of her neighbors in the Lake Ride manufactured housing community about a dispute involving juveniles. The two parties were yelling back and forth when Kendall allegedly punched the other party in the face. Kendall’s son then allegedly jumped out of the car and struck the alleged victim in the face, causing a cut and a lump to the person’s forehead.
Kendall is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of one year in jail.
There is no indication if any charges were filed against Kendall’s son.
