Summer of the Arts has announced their schedule for this year’s Friday Night Concert Series and Northside Concert Series.
Following the same format as last year, the May and June Fridays will be virtual concerts that can be viewed on the Summer of the Arts Facebook page starting at 6:30pm. The first two, on May 21st and 28th, will feature flashback shows with Shade of Blue and Euforquestra, respectively.
June virtual concerts feature the City High, West High and Liberty High Jazz bands on the 4th, The Wontu Trees on the 11th, the Awful Purdies on the 18th, and the Blake Shaw Trio with ADE on the 25th.
Live Friday and Saturday Night concerts will start the weekend of July 9th, with the Friday show on the Ped Mall and Saturday’s show on the Northside Stage on Linn Street outside of Hamburg Inn and Oasis Falafel.
Last month, the group announced changes to their festival lineup. The Arts Fest, normally the first weekend in June, has been pushed back to August 13-15. The first fest will be the Jazz Fest July 2nd and 3rd. The city’s Soul and Blues Festival is tentatively scheduled for the end of July.
