UI: Over 27,000 Johnson County residents have completed COVID-19 vaccinations

More than 27,000 Johnson County residents have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.

That’s according to the University of Iowa’s latest COVID-19 update. The school says as of Friday, 26,800 Johnson County residents had completed a two-dose series. Another 978 had completed single-dose vaccinations.

An estimated 16,489 residents have completed a single dose of the two-dose series. That breaks down to 29.29% of Johnson County’s population having received at least one dose of a vaccine. 18.38% have been fully vaccinated.
