An Iowa City man faces several years in prison after allegedly discovered running a grow operation out of his residence.
Detectives from the city’s Police Department served a search warrant at the home of 32-year-old Philip Pagano of Washington Park Boulevard Monday night. During the search, they discovered a marijuana grow operation with 13 separate plants.
Pagano was taken into custody and charged with a controlled substance violation, failure to affix drug stamp, and keeping premises for controlled substances. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to up to 12 years in prison. He’s been released on his own recognizance and awaits further court dates.
