Cedar Rapids Police are investigating a stabbing that left one man injured.
According to a CRPD news release, just before 8am Saturday officers responded to the report of a stabbing at 1008 Sioux Drive NW. Investigators located a 43-year old male with injuries on the scene. The man advised he had been involved in an altercation with a 36-year old male. The 36-year old was apparently stabbed and drove himself to a local hospital for treatment. He left the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
Based on the preliminary investigation, officers determined there was an argument that turned physical between the two individuals, who were known to each other.
The stabbing victim remains hospitalized. The incident remains under investigation.
