An Iowa City woman who was wanted on warrants for meth possession and distribution was arrested Sunday after a traffic stop.

Police say 23-year-old Orlanda Littlelight of Erobi Lane was stopped on South Scott Boulevard around 5:15pm because of the outstanding warrants. Her passenger allegedly had used paraphernalia on his person. After a K9 alerted to drugs in the vehicle, a subsequent search reportedly turned up two baggies consistent with methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana.

Littlelight was living on Century Street the morning of November 24th when police executed a search warrant on her residence. Officers allegedly found her near a scale and baggie containing a crystalline substance consistent with meth. Police say the total weight of the meth was less than five grams.

The warrant included examination of Littlelight’s phone. Police say they discovered numerous conversations related to her involvement in the distribution of meth, and reportedly showed Littlelight reaching out to numerous different people to both acquire and distribute the drug.

She faces a Class C Controlled Substance Violation and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the November incident, and Meth and Marijuana Possession for Sunday’s incident. If convicted on all charges, Littlelight could be sentenced to up to 13 years in prison.
