A North Liberty woman faces charges that she attacked another driver after a drunk driving accident in Solon.
Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Dubuque Street and 1st Street at 1:30 Saturday afternoon. They say one of the drivers involved, 55-year-old Lora Hoover of Mehaffey Bridge Road, got out of her vehicle and shoved the other driver.
Arriving deputies reported that Hoover showed signs of intoxication, admitted to drinking and showed signs of impairment of field sobriety tests. Her blood alcohol content was measured at .166%, and she refused Datamaster testing.
Hoover is charged with Assault and Operating While Intoxicated – 2nd Offense. She has a prior OWI conviction in Johnson County from 2009.
