The University of Iowa has released its latest COVID-19 figures.
According to Wednesday’s update, 19 new COVID-19 cases have been reported among UI students and nine among UI employees between Friday and Wednesday. That’s a total of 2,887 student cases and 395 employee cases since the beginning of the fall 2020 semester.
Three residence hall occupants are currently under quarantine and one is in self-isolation. Quarantine is used to keep someone who might have been exposed to COVID-19 away from others, while self-isolation is used to separate people infected with the virus from people who are not infected.
