An Iowa City man allegedly admitted to ingesting three different substances when he was arrested for his second OWI Monday.

Police stopped 33-year-old Rashaud Lee at 12:21am on Sand Road for speeding. The arrest report indicates there were no plates on his Pontiac Grand Prix. Lee reportedly had bloodshot watery eyes and slurred speech. There was an open container of alcohol in the center cup holder, and several bottles of alcohol on the floor.

He also allegedly admitted to drinking, smoking marijuana and smoking meth. A K9 alerted to drugs in the vehicle, and a search turned up what police believe to be methamphetamine, marijuana, and a glass pipe with residue.

Lee performed poorly on field tests, but a PBT showed his blood-alcohol level below the legal limit. He refused further chemical testing. A check of his record showed Lee’s driving status as barred.

He’s been charged with OWI second offense, driving while barred, possession of marijuana, meth possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted on all counts, Lee could be sentenced to over six years in prison.
