Iowa City woman arrested for second OWI after Coralville incident

An Iowa City woman was charged with her second OWI after a stop in Coralville.

According to police reports, officers were called to The Depot on East Oakdale Boulevard just after 8pm Monday for reports of an erratic driver that had just pulled into the parking lot there. Upon arrival, police identified the vehicle based on the description given of a white crossover vehicle with Colorado plates. It was reportedly parked diagonally across a parking space, and was still running when they made contact with the driver.

She was identified as 26-year-old Kaylee Frisch of Country Court Northeast in Iowa City. Frisch allegedly had a strong odor of ingested alcohol, watery droopy eyes, and thick-tongued slurred speech. She reportedly showed measurable impairment on field testing, and provided a Datamaster reading of .167 percent blood-alcohol content.

A check of her driving record showed Frisch had a previous OWI in King County,Washington in 2015. She was charged with her second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a jail term of up to two years if convicted.
