Cedar Rapids Police have released the name of a gunshot victim as they continue their investigation into the incident.
According to a CRPD news release, the victim arrived by private vehicle at Mercy Medical Center just after 2:15am Sunday. The male had suffered a gunshot wound, and died shortly after officers arrived at the hospital. He’s been identified as 21-year-old Jayson Lee Jones.
