Iowa City Police have received multiple reports of stolen catalytic converters, the second such wave of reports in the last three months.

According to the online activity log, since Tuesday the ICPD has received at least a half-dozen calls about converters being removed from vehicles. Most of the reports have involved vehicles parked on the west side of the city, including Mormon Trek Boulevard, Plaen View Drive, George Street, and Aber Avenue. But other reports have come from Washington Street and Church Street.

Last September police received similar reports of stolen catalytic converters from residents whose vehicle were parked on or near River Street, East Court Street and North Governor Street.

No further details have been released.
