An Iowa City man has been arrested on a warrant stemming from a series of alleged multiple car burglaries.

Police say the incidents occurred on October 29th, when 21-year-old Terrance Young of East Washington Street is accused of the crimes, including burglarizing a Honda Civic that he reportedly took bank cards out of.

Young later is seen on surveillance video using one of the cards at a local Kum & Go. During an interview, Young allegedly admitted to using the card on three separate occasions, making purchases totaling about $55.00.

A warrant was requested for Young’s arrest; he was booked into the Johnson County Jail at 1:30 Wednesday morning. He’s been charged with two counts of 3rd degree Burglary and Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card. If convicted on the charges, he could be sentenced to a maximum of six years in prison.
