One person was killed and two more injured in a two-vehicle accident north of Amana.
The incident happened just before 10pm Sunday. According to the Iowa State Patrol, 33-year-old John Nagel of Amana was driving his Dodge Ram westbound on 120th Street when he failed to yield at the intersection with Highway 151. Nagel hit a southbound Toyota Prius broadside. Nagel was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, while the driver of the Prius, 25-year-old Michael Humina of Amana, was taken to Compass Memorial Hospital.
31-year-old Jessica Ann Marie Schulte of Upper South Amana was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
