In a month where several high school and college games have been postponed or cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns, the University of Iowa Athletic Department continues its vigilance in keeping the virus at bay.
In testing of 696 players, coaches and staff last week, only one test came back positive, which is an outstanding positivity rate of 0.14 percent. Since testing began in late May, the cumulative positivity rate is at 2.8%.
Those that test positive follow protocol established by UI Athletics and medical staff to ensure the safety of all members of the department.
