You’re going to be paying more for your Mediacom service soon.
The Daily Iowan reports that the updated rates will take effect on or about December 22nd, according to a letter sent to the Iowa City City Council by the company’s Senior Manager of Governmental Relations, Lee Grassley.
Most consumers will see their bills go up a few dollars, based on what kind of service they have. It ranges from a 66 cent increase for regional sports, to $4.29 for local broadcast stations. Family and Prime TV rates will go up two dollars a month.
Grassley says the rate increase was necessary because channel owners are raising their access rates, despite a migration away from traditional cable TV.
