A trial date has been set for one of three men accused of killing an Iowa City man during an attempted robbery last spring.

On Friday Judge Lars Anderson set an April 6th trial date for 45-year-old Reginald Little of Cross Park Avenue. Little is charged with 1st Degree Murder along with his alleged accomplices, 22-year-old Durojaiye Rosa and 32-year-old Patrick Bland of Rockford, Illinois.

Little, Rosa, and Bland are accused of killing Kejuan Winters of Broadway Street on April 20th. Rosa allegedly told investigators that he and Little entered Winters’ apartment only with the intent of robbing him, not shooting him. Anderson earlier ruled that comment incriminated Little, which is why he was granted a separate trial.

If convicted of 1st Degree Murder, each man faces life in prison.

Rosa and Bland are scheduled to stand trial on January 5th. On Friday Anderson set a case management conference for Little for March 5th.
