IMCC inmate dies

An inmate at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center had died.

According to the Iowa Department of Corrections, 88-year-old Clarence Christian Miller was pronounced dead due to natural causes (not COVID related) at 9:50 p.m. on Tuesday. He died in a hospice room of the IMCC, where he had been housed due to chronic illness.

Miller had been serving a 50-year sentence for multiple convictions of Sex Abuse 2nd Degree (709.3) from Winnebago County. His sentence began on November 26, 2013.
