Visitors to a popular Iowa City park can now enjoy free Wi-Fi during their visit.
ImOn Communications has announced that it has launched free Wi-Fi service in Riverfront Crossings Park on the south end of Clinton Street. The network will cover most of the park, including the parking area and walking trails. The project is a joint venture between ImOn Communications and the City of Iowa City.
ImOn’s Wi-Fi utilizes a series of access points located throughout the park that are connected to the company’s high-speed 10 gigabit fiber network, which the company says provides increased reliability and better coverage throughout the park.
In a news release, ImOn officials say they will continue partnering with the City of Iowa City to offer free community Wi-Fi in additional locations in the future.
