A Colorado man who police say urinated on himself was charged with his second OWI early Sunday morning.
The alleged incident occurred at about 3:20am in the parking lot of Old Chicago on the Coralville Strip. An officer who was at the Heartland Inn next door heard the sound of squealing tires and a crash, and looked out the window. He reportedly saw 33-year-old Emilio Jimenez of Aurora Colorado behind the wheel of a Dodge Ram attempting to get off the curb.
When making contact with Jimenez, he allegedly had the odor of ingested alcohol, spoke at a rapid pace, had bloodshot watery eyes and had urinated on himself.
Jimenez refused field testing, but consented to a PBT showing him over the legal limit. A subsequent Datamaster test showed a blood alcohol level of .200 percent.
His previous OWI conviction was in 2013. Jimenez was taken into custody and charged with his second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a prison sentence of up to two years if convicted.
