Iowa City Police are seeking information as they investigate an overnight armed robbery.
According to a release from the ICPD, the incident occurred in the area of the Quarters on Highway 6. Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at 12:07am Wednesday. Upon arrival, the victim reported that they were approached by a black male wearing a mask and displaying a handgun. The male demanded personal property, which the victim handed over. The suspect then fled the area.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
Police are asking the public’s help in identifying anyone involved in the incident. Anyone with information surrounding the incident, or who can provide surveillance video that might be of help, is urged to contact Officer Dan Boesen at 319-356-5275.
