Allegedly leaving the scene of an accident on Interstate 380 has led to a Cedar Rapids woman’s arrest.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a reckless driver southbound near the Swisher/Shueyville exit just before 10pm Thursday. A 2002 Nissan Exterra with a personalized “3LDYBUG” license plate was reportedly all over the roadway and driving very slowly. A motorist reported that the vehicle had caused an accident and left the scene. There were no reported injuries.

A deputy caught up to the car near the Iowa River Bridge. It was allegedly all over the road and doing 15 miles per hour in a 70 mile-per-hour zone. The driver, later identified as 33-year-old Jamie Lee Robison of 7th Street SW, was allegedly slow to pull over. The arresting officer says Robison claimed she didn’t know she’d been in an accident. She allegedly showed multiple signs of intoxication and was unable to perform field sobriety tests due to her intoxication level. Robison’s blood alcohol content was measured at .191% on a portable Breathalizer test.

A search incident to Robison’s arrest turned up three pill bottles in her purse including over a half-dozen prescription pills including clonazepam, oxycodone and others.

Robison has two previous Operating While Intoxicated convictions out of Linn County and one from Johnson County. She now faces charges of OWI- 3rd or Subsequent Offense and Unlawful Possession of a Prescription Drug. If convicted on both charges, she faces a maximum of six years in prison.
