There are a couple of ways to get some great food from local restaurants while helping out local non-profit groups this week.
On Thursday, the Iowa City Community School District Foundation holds its biannual Dine Out or Take Out event. Participating restaurants will donate ten percent of sales on Thursday to the Foundations. On Friday, Shelter House is having their annual BBQ Bash, although due to the pandemic, this year’s event will be a little bit different.
Shelter House has partnered with Pop’s Barbeque and CHOMP to bring the food right to your door. Tickets are $25 per person and you can get them at https://shelterhouseiowa.org/bbq-bash/
