On September 10, 2020 employees at Lemme Elementary School at 3100 E Washington St. in Iowa City discovered that the outdoor cameras on the building had been covered in spray paint. The cameras experienced damage that caused them to be inoperable.
The Iowa City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest who was captured on the school’s cameras prior to the damage.
Anyone with information about this this incident is asked to contact the Iowa City Police Department at (319) 356-5275. In addition, anyone in that area with security cameras are asked to review their recordings and contact the Iowa City Police Department with any potential footage or information about this person. No additional details will be released at this time.
