A Cedar Rapids man was arrested on a warrant stemming from an August incident in Iowa City where he attempted contact with a man who reportedly wants nothing to do with him.
Police say 24-year-old Luke Moen of 3rd Street Southeast has been in contact with the victim numerous times over the last three years, using text messages and social media. The male has asked him several times to stop.
Moen allegedly went to the victim’s home on the morning of August 12th and waited outside for several hours before making contact with the victim by appearing at his bedroom window, asking to be let in at about 5:45am.
A warrant was issued for Moen’s arrest on August 17th; he was taken into custody Monday afternoon and formally charged with 3rd Degree Harassment, a simple misdemeanor.
Moen was released later that afternoon.
