A fourth person has been arrested after allegedly spray painting the Old Capitol Building in Iowa City during a protest Friday night.

According to police, 18-year-old Eric Fredeu of Westside Drive in Iowa City was in the area at 11:10pm and seen on video, using spray paint to vandalize the building on the University of Iowa campus. He was identified on video and by officers who have had contact with him.

Damage to the building is estimated at somewhere between $1500 and $2000.

A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was taken into custody Monday morning.

Police previously arrested 18-year-old Logan Creach of Kirkwood Avenue for allegedly spray-painting the same building at approximately 9:10 Friday night. He was taken into custody Saturday afternoon.

The Daily Iowan reports that another man was arrested Sunday night. He was identified as 18-year-old Luke Beckner, who also had a warrant issued Monday on a June unlawful possession of a prescription drug charge.

The paper also reports that a fourth individual was charged, but was classified as a juvenile so no criminal complaint was available.

All four face 2nd degree Criminal Mischief charges, a Class D Felony punishable by a prison term of up to five years.
