Black Lives Matter protestors were hit by at least one car during a Friday march through downtown Iowa City.
The protest, led by the group Iowa Freedom Riders, started with a rally on the Pentacrest before turning into a march through downtown. The Daily Iowan reports some marchers yelled at diners on downtown patios to join in. Some joined the march, others did not.
At one point when the protest was moving through the intersection of Burlington and Gilbert Streets, a car drove through the crowd. The incident was caught on video and it shows one person briefly on the hood of the car before falling off.

Some protestors took to Twitter to claim two cars actually drove through the crowd of protestors at that intersection, although only one was caught on the video. One protestor says one car drove a full block with a protestor on the hood, while the second hit five protestors at once.
There have been no reported injuries.
