Iowa City Police are investigating a second shooting Wednesday.

In a release from the Department, police received a report of a person who’d been shot multiple times, but fortunately received non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was being taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle.

An investigation led officers to the 200 block of Scott Court, who found evidence of a shooting. Blood and shell casings were recovered.

The victim described the suspects as two white males, one wearing a mask. A red Chevrolet Cruze (pictured above) was seen in the area at the time of the incident and is believed to be associated with the males.

Police believe the incident is not random; no arrests have been made.

The incident is still under investigation, and police are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the suspects and/or the vehicle. Anyone with information can call Sergeant Jerry Blomgren at 319-356-5468.

In addition, Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1000 for information that leads to an arrest.  They can be contacted online at www.iccrimestoppers.org, by calling 319-358-TIPS, or using the P3 TIPS app. Anonymity is guaranteed.
