Iowa City Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects involved in a Wednesday morning shooting incident.
A news release from the ICPD says that about 9:20 a.m., multiple Iowa City Police officers responded to the 2200 block of Taylor Drive for reports of multiple gunshots being heard. Responding officers located bullet holes in multiple residences on the east side of the street and recovered bullet fragments from the scene. A light-colored sedan with a sunroof (pictured above) and a paper in the back window was observed leaving the area immediately following the gunshots. This incident is not believed to be random. No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information or possible video is asked to contact Investigations Sergeant Jerry Blomgren at 319-356-5468. Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information about this incident that leads to an arrest.
