With the Cedar Rapids area being especially devastated by Monday’s weather, two major retailers are stepping up to provide free snacks and beverages over the next two days.
HyVee announced that their Healthy You Mobile will be in the area, navigating neighborhoods to provide snacks and beverages to those in need. Residents will also be provided outlets to charge their mobile devices during the stops.
The mobile assistance will be out from 8am-5pm through Friday; more details can be found on Facebook under the store pages in Cedar Rapids.
Fleet Farm is bringing in a full semi-truck full of free water to their parking lot at Cross Pointe Boulevard. Residents can pick up water starting at 9am, and they’ll be there till supplies run out.
Then on Friday, HyVee will have a contactless drive-through giveaway of water and snacks starting at 11am and running while supplies last at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
