The City of North Liberty announced that they have set up a site for residents to bring their storm debris.

The site is located at 290 Golfview Drive, just west of the public works campus.

In a release from the city, they say Monday’s storm created a tremendous amount of debris, and crews have begun picking up tree limbs from curbs, but say that it will be a lengthy process.

Residents can pile limbs up between the street and sidewalks, parallel to the curb in sections of 10 feet or less, and are urged to take care that the debris doesn’t end up in the street.

Both the Golfview site and curb pickup is limited to tree limbs and brush; if you have bulky items like siding or fencing that needs to be taken away, contact Johnson County Refuse to set up a pickup at 319-665-4498. A fee will be charged.

In other North Liberty news, the City Council rescheduled Tuesday’s discussion of Social Justice and Racial Equity  to the council meeting on August 25th.
