Iowa City Police are investigating a weekend armed robbery in the downtown area.
According to an ICPD news release, between 1 and 2am Sunday a subject wielding a firearm stopped two victims in the 300 block of South Linn Street as they were walking home. The suspect, described as a thin black male, six feet three inches tall, approximately 30 years old, with short hair and potentially wearing a mask, demanded money and fled the area following the crime. No one was injured.
No arrests have been made and this case is under investigation. The Iowa City Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify anyone involved with this incident. If you have information about this incident please call 319 356-5275.
