A Cedar Rapids woman has been jailed after allegedly stabbing a man three times over the weekend.
The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that 53-year-old LaVern Vanessa Cosby of Kirkwood Boulevard stabbed the victim using kitchen knives, causing multiple lacerations.
Cosby has been charged with attempted murder, willful injury causing serious injury, going armed with intent and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. The attempted murder charge alone carries a possible maximum sentence of 25 years if convicted.
