Allegedly spitting on a fast-food restaurant employee has led to criminal charges against an Iowa City woman.

Iowa City Police say that just before 5:15pm last Monday 51-year-old Guylia Small of Ginter Avenue spit on an employee at Wendy’s on 1st Avenue after she was refused service. The manager confirmed that Small spit on the employee.

Small is charged with Assault, a Simple Misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of 30 days in jail.

This is the second criminal charge against a customer at the Iowa City Wendy’s this month. Just after 10pm on July 3rd 26-year-old Bryant Skipper of Chicago was charged with Disorderly Conduct after he allegedly threw two soda cans into the drive-thru window after he was refused service for being on a bicycle.
