An Iowa City man was taken into custody for a November shooting incident after the victim told police about it Sunday while they were handling a domestic incident.

Officers were handling the case, involving 75-year old Richard Grose of York Place, and were waiting for the alleged victim to leave. The woman then pointed out two holes in the siding of the residence where she said Grose shot at her.

The woman said sometime this past November, she and Grose were arguing over money when she pushed him down on the bed. At some point, Grose allegedly retrieved his gun from a dresser. She states she was beginning to leave and he yelled at her to do so. Grose then reportedly fired a shot at the wall in her direction.

Grose was taken into custody and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault with the display or use of a weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a sentence of up to two years in prison.
