Former Hawkeye Jarrod Uthoff is back in the NBA.
The Washington Wizards announced on Friday that Uthoff signed a rest-of-season contract with the team.
Uthoff was named to this season’s G League First Team, averaging 19.0 points on 15.2 shots, 10.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 blocks. He played at Iowa from 2013–2016.
Wizards forward Davis Bertans opted out of joining the team for the NBA’s restart in Orlando, opening up a spot on the roster and potential minutes for Uthoff.
