An Iowa City woman was taken into custody after allegedly using another person’s credit card without their permission.

Authorities say that 41-year-old Danyell Blaxton of Westwinds Drive used the card Wednesday morning to pay a City of Iowa City water bill valued at $150.

Once the alleged transaction was noticed, Blaxton was taken into custody. She’s been charged with unauthorized use of a credit card under $1500, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a prison sentence of up to two years if convicted.
