A Coralville man has been charged with burglarizing a truck after the victim provided video evidence to police.
According to reports, the incident occurred June 13th at approximately 7:35pm in the 500 block of 7th Avenue in Coralville. The victim was visiting and discovered 55-year-old Randolph McClaine of 2nd Street came up to his truck, reached through the window, and took several items. The neighbor identified McClaine as the alleged burglar, and video evidence of the crime was brought to police on the 18th.
A warrant was issued by Judge Deboarh Minot on June 26th and served on Wednesday.
McClaine is charged with 3rd Degree Burglary and could be sentenced to up to two years in prison if convicted.
