Iowa City Police are investigating a shots fired incident on he city’s west side.
According to an ICPD news release, officers responded to 2601 Westwinds Drive around 4pm on the report of shots fired in the parking lot. Witnesses on-scene reported hearing two shots and observing two individuals running southbound from the area. A black, box-shaped vehicle left northbound on Westwinds Drive after the shots. The two individuals observed running from the scene were located and stopped in the area a short time later; neither individual sustained any injuries.
The case remains under investigation.
Iowa City Police are asking for the public’s help to identify anyone involved with this incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-5275.
