A fourth arrest has been made in connection with an Iowa City homicide case.

30-year-old Whitney Claybon of Cross Park Avenue was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 5:30 Saturday night. Iowa City Police say Claybon told them on May 14th that she knew details about the April 20th shooting death of Kejuan Winters in his Broadway Street apartment. During a meeting with police that also included her lawyer, she claimed she had driven one of the suspects to Chicago to help him escape the area. Investigators later learned she had actually driven him to Minnesota. This was confirmed by security video from a Minnesota truck stop that showed the two together in the vehicle. Police later learned Claybon had used another person with a valid license to rent the car used in the escape.

Claybon is now charged with Accessory After the Fact and Obstructing Prosecution. If convicted on both charges, she faces a maximum of four years in prison.

44-year-old Reginald Little and 22-year-old Durojaiye Antonio Rosa each face 1st Degree Murder charges in Winter’s death. An investigation of cellphone records reportedly shows that Rosa was communicating with Little about entering Winters’ apartment immediately prior to shots being fired. During a followup interview, Rosa allegedly admitted that he and Little discussed a plan to rob Winters. Rosa did state that he did not plan for Winters to be shot, only robbed.

Another man, 21-year-old Jordan Hogan of Cross Park Avenue, was arrested on April 25th for allegedly lying to detectives to help Little and Rosa escape. He’s charged with Obstructing Prosecution or Defense, an Aggravated Misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of two years in prison.

1st Degree Murder is a Class A Felony punishable by life in prison without the possibility of parole.
