Urinating on the floor of an Iowa City convenience store led to the arrest of a Cedar Rapids woman early Sunday morning.
Iowa City Police were called to the West Burlington Street Kum & Go at 2:30am for a woman who had urinated on the store room floor. The caller said the woman was still on the scene trying to clean it up.
Arriving officers found the suspect’s vehicle, a 2010 Chevy Cobalt, running in the parking lot with two passengers and an empty driver’s seat. The passengers said 22-year-old Tiffany Hewitt of Edgewood Road Northwest had been the driver.
Police say Hewitt showed multiple signs of intoxication, was wearing a bar wristband, and failed field sobriety tests. Her blood alcohol content was measured at .107%.
Hewitt was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated.
