The City of Coralville has announced that they will be reopening City Hall to the public again starting Monday.
As a consequence, the city will no longer accept utility bill payments or yard waste sticker payments over the phone.
Several safety precautions have been put in place before Monday’s opening, including requiring staff to self-screen for illness before reporting to work each day, providing PPE where appropriate, establishing hygiene expectations, adding hand sanitizing stations, increasing frequency of cleaning, posting safety guidelines at entrances, and encouraging social distancing.
The Coralville Public Library continues to provide curbside pickup of materials and other services but will remain closed through the end of June, with the exception of primary election day on June 2.
The Rec Center will be open for lap swimming and fitness room reservations starting June 8th; the Center For Performing Arts will allow rental of the lobby space starting Thursday, albeit at 50% capacity.
The release from the City on Tuesday still encourages residents to take advantage of phone, mail and online services whenever possible.
