Cedar Rapids police are investigating a shots fired incident behind Lindale Mall Thursday afternoon.
Police say they got reports of shots being fired near the mall just before 3:20pm. Arriving officers found shell casings on the 1st Avenue side of Lindale, and according to Public Safety Communications Coordinator Greg Buelow, police believe that two vehicles were involved that may have exchanged gunfire.
No injuries were reported, and the incident remains under investigation.
