The Linn County Fair scheduled for June 24th through the 28th has been canceled for this year.
A statement from board president Albert Martin said that the decision was made based on the uncertainty of the health situation by the end of June. Discussions with sponsors, health officials and the county Board of Supervisors also influenced the decision.
Linn County joins Benton and Wapello counties, who have also cancelled their fairs for this year. An announcement about how 4H and FFA members can exhibit their work will be made sometime mid-month.
Johnson County’s Fair is scheduled for July 26th-29th.
