A Sunday night fire on Iowa City’s southeast side damaged a manufactured home.
Firefighters were called to the Bon Aire Mobile Home Lodge on Highway 6 East at 10:18pm after being told that a manufactured house was completely engulfed in fire. The first arriving unit reported a fire near the entrance, but mostly on the exterior of the house.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire approximately five minutes after arrival. No civilians or firefighters were reported injured, but property damage is estimated in the area of $6000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal.
