IC man faces child endangerment charges after alleged assault on partner

An Iowa City man faces child endangerment charges after an alleged assualt on his partner in view of two children.
According to police, 48-year-old Sean Adams of Rita Lyn Court and the woman were in a verbal argument in the home March 31st after 10pm when he allegedly became violent.
Adams is accused of following the woman up the stairs, grabbing her by the back of her hair and throwing her to the ground. He also reportedly started breaking items in the home while two children were present and allegedly witnessed the events. Officers noted that the two were crying and visibly shaken up as a result.
A warrant was issued for Adams’ arrest on April 1st, and he was booked into the Johnson County Jail early this morning. He’s been charged with two counts of child endangerment and 2nd offense Domestic Abuse Assualt. If convicted, Adams could be sentenced to up to six years in prison.
