A Swisher man was taken into custody Friday afternoon after an altercation with a housemate.
Arrest reports indicate that 38-year-old Jeremy Ludvicek of Derby Avenue Northwest was involved in a physical altercation with the unnamed victim around 4pm. Police say Ludvicek struck the man several times in the face, then reportedly went to the upstairs bedroom to retrieve a shotgun. He came back downstairs and allegedly pointed the shotgun at the victim, saying that he was going to kill him.
Police arrived and took Ludvicek into custody, and while being escorted away from the scene reportedly told the people in the house that he was going to kill them.
While en route to the Johnson County Jail, police say Ludvicek continued to state that he would murder the man he had the altercation with and burn the house down, adding that he didn’t care if he had to spend the rest of his life in prison as long as the man was dead.
The victim suffered bruising and scrapes to his face as a result of the incident.
Ludvicek has been charged with Assault causing Bodily Injury, Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, and 1st degree Harassment. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to up to eight years in prison.
A no-contact order was requested between the parties involved.
